Michael began his adult working life as a miner in the coal fields of West Virginia. While attending classes during the day at WVU, he worked the midnight shift at the Blacksville #1 coal mine. With a father who also worked in the coal mines, and a mother who worked on a manufacturing line, he developed a very strong work ethic that mirrored their own. After building a successful career in customer service and business operations he began his own consulting company as the President of CONTROL-POINTe™, Inc. As part of this growth it became apparent that the importance of networking could not be overlooked and he began purposefully developing this important skill. He believes that it is impossible to serve without also being served. It is with this belief that he approaches his own career management, as well as those he coaches on the subject. The hope in writing this book, and this series, is that each reader finds value in its simplicity and its approach to the subject.
