About
Anne Schober and Mollie Ayers
"I may not look sick, but I am." (Anne Schober) Thirteen months ago, one of the creators of Invincible - Finding the Light Beyond the Darkness, placed those words into the social media universe and decided to immediately unplug for a few days. When she opened her site a few days later, she was stunned by the reactions. Garnering more than 500 comments and responses, she was completely overwhelmed. Who knew that an almost 60-year-old woman with Rheumatoid Arthritis would have that much influence on social media? One of the people who responded right away to the post was Mollie Ayers, a young, energetic mom of two who also has invisible, chronic illnesses called Spondyloarthropy and Osteopenia. and said she would be willing to help bring the dream of creating an inspirational book into a beautiful reality. Together, they formed an edited, polished team following up with each person who commented, reached out privately, or sent emails. Through this process, they were able to discover who was ready to share their stories and help to bring empathy, awareness, and compassion to those who don’t “look” sick. Together, they are the creators behind Invincible. Together they brought this book to life. And, together with 26 other chronically ill people from across the United States, they are asking to be heard. They don't want pity. They want understanding. They want compassion. They want to no longer be invisible, because they are Invincible.
