About
Anne M. Zachry

I have been a special education and disability resource lay advocate since 1991. I've been a paralegal supporting attorneys in special education and related legal proceedings from local administrative hearings to federal Circuit Court appeals since 2005. I returned to graduate school in 2011 and achieved my master's degree in educational psychology in 2013, with specific emphasis on and additional coursework in human development across the lifespan, the sciences of learning and memory, evidence-based instructional practices, educational program design and evaluation, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and public agency compliance challenges with regulatory mandates. I am currently the CEO and lead advocate of KPS4Parents, a non-profit student and family advocacy organization. I also started an evidence-based food security and sustainable living curriculum, the Learn & Grow Educational Series, in 2013 that currently reaches tens of thousands of learners around the world through social media to teach people how to grow food anywhere and live more sustainably in response to climate change and changing economic factors around the world. I help solve some of the toughest challenges faced by the United States' democracy, existing in the nexus of education science and law at the local government level, where the potential for harm when government fails is significant. Everything I publish is informed by my experience and scholarly research.
