Dr Bruce Durie is recognised internationally as one of the leading practitioners in the fields of Scottish Genealogy and Heraldry, particularly for his teaching, writing and broadcasting. He founded the renowned Masters Programme at the University of Strathclyde and regularly taught at the University of Edinburgh and occasionally elsewhere. He has authored over 30 books on Genealogy, Heraldry, Local History and other subjects, including Victorian crime fiction and Comic Fantasy.
