Bifrost Constrictors

Some towns keep secrets. Ravenfall has learned how to forget them. Fifteen-year-old Soren Quinn has never thought of Ravenfall as anything special. It's a small, aging town where everybody knows everybody, old buildings outnumber new ones, and Blackwater Lake is just another place people warn teenagers not to wander after dark. However that just provides an exciting place to gather. Soren has ordinary problems. School. Friends. Figuring out why he suddenly notices Liv differently. Taking care of Valhalla, his tarantula, and trying to understand the strange little details most people overlook. Then something changes. A forgotten symbol appears where it shouldn't. Old records don't agree with what people remember. A photograph seems to show something that couldn't have been there. And Blackwater Lake begins to feel less like a place and more like a question. Soren's curiosity draws him deeper into Ravenfall's history, alongside Liv and a small group of people who each seem to know a different version of the town's past. The more they investigate, the more they discover that Ravenfall has survived things nobody remembers happening—and that some people may have spent generations making sure it stays that way. Then Soren discovers a connection between the mystery and something that happened to him when he was seven. Something he doesn't remember. Something someone desperately wanted him to forget. Now Soren has to decide how far he's willing to go for the truth.
