Coleen Mattingly Bay and her sweetheart, David are empty-nesters, after raising a blended family of nine children--all girls except seven, giving her many insights to the humorous and difficult sides of parenting. She attended Weber State University, where she studied English and creative writing. She began writing full-length books in earnest when she wrote life histories (her own and her mother's.) This was followed by a vigorous study of bookbinding. With the help of her husband, they hardbound the life histories for their posterity. This endeavor was followed by her novels. She volunteered on the Foster Care Citizens Review Board for three years where she became acutely aware of many injustices children suffer at the behest of adults. She and her husband reside in Brigham City, Utah in a home of continuous remodeling. She enjoys reading, writing, laughing at herself, and playing Pinochle. You can email Coleen at [email protected]
