Brenda Burleson Lynch is proud to be third in a family of fourteen children to former sharecroppers. Her parents, the Late Rev. Nathaniel Burleson and Mrs. Thelma Webb Burleson, instilled a healthy work ethic, the value of loving the Lord, and the importance of education in all the children. Brenda actively accepted their advice and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bishop College in Dallas, TX; a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX; and a Doctorate in Counselor Education from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX. During her years in education, Brenda has worked in the United States and Germany as a teacher and counselor. As far as she can recall, Brenda has held a deep love, respect, and devotion to children. Her added passion is speaking at women’s and children’s religious gatherings, conferences, and workshops. Brenda is married to Norman C. Lynch and has two children, Angela Nash-Robinson and Rev. Step
