About
Bruce Meder
Bruce Meder is a Kiwi (New Zealander) living in Coffs Harbour, Australia. In 2011 he was shaken up by the earthquakes in Christchurch and deposited across the ditch (colloquial term for the Tasman Sea) where he arrived in Coffs Harbour. Nowadays, he wonders why he did not make the move earlier? Bruce's working life was spent in community development and community education. He continues his passion for community by being involved in several local community groups. He is a member of the Coffs Harbour Writers Group and the organiser of a bi-monthly poetry evening at a local cafe. He can often be seen around Coffs Harbour enjoying two of his favourite outdoor activities - running and cycling. Prior to leaving Christchurch his Team Leader where he worked at the time told him: "Bruce, you should write!" He took her at her word and soon after arriving in Australia began writing a weekly blog devoted to community, social change, and environmental issues. He continues to write this blog to this day. Bruce has previously published two fictional books - a young adult adventure book, and a short story compilation. He considers IRONIC CROSS to be his major writing achievement and debut adult novel.
