Burak Dönerkan was born on August 30, 1984, in Istanbul. To take his first step into the world of media and communications, he attended Aydın Doğan Anatolian Communication Vocational High School. During his internship at Blue Jean magazine, he wrote articles about music. This experience revealed his interest in writing at a young age. He further pursued this passion by studying Radio, Television, and Cinema at Trakya University, where he won the "Best Screenplay" award for his short film "Three Elements." However, Burak’s career path took an unexpected turn, and after graduation, he entered the aviation industry. Between 2005 and 2011, he started as a ground services and operations officer and quickly rose to become Station Chief for EgyptAir. After leaving his aviation career, he graduated from Anadolu University’s Faculty of Business Administration and gained various experiences in different sectors. During this time, his travels and diverse job experiences fueled his desire to create new stories. Reconnecting with his passion for writing, Burak penned his first book, The Angels' Favorite Dream. This book offers readers a story rich in emotional depth and observations he has accumulated throughout his life, filled with love and adventure. Burak currently lives in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, with his wife Neriza and their one-year-old son Mattias, and continues his writing journey.
