About
Carolyn Gilliam

Carolyn Gilliam is a talented writer whose life is a rich mosaic of contributing to the well-being of others. A graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in English, she worked in promotion at KFH radio in Wichita and at WDAF, NBC's affiliate, in Kansas City. She later served as a real estate broker and appraiser and as a contributor to The Antique Shoppe, Florida's leading antique newspaper. While on a trip to Israel, she began to wonder how the people of Bible times were affected by the events recorded in the Bible. In Bethlehem, her thoughts went beyond the nativity story, to the feelings of the mothers whose children were killed by Herod’s soldiers. What were their lives like after that? With that thought in mind, she researched and wrote "From Mourning into Gladness", a book which takes readers into the homes and hearts of some of the people who were intimately touched by history's ultimate story of tragedy and triumph.
