The original coffee guy, wanderer and explorer. I was writing blogs before there was such a thing as a blog. I called them columns. I filled volumes, websites and social media as I stumbled towards...something. A person who stutters, a person with depression, an industry leader at one point, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, a guy looking for a decent cup of coffee. I am not really sure what to write here. It has been a hell of a journey through the first 50 years of my life. A friend once said I seemed to live ten years for every one that others live. Another friend said I've lived in half my life what others hope to do in four lifetimes. That makes me a very old man. 673? With age comes wisdom? That's debatable. But I have spent my life exploring the darkness and the light, learning many lessons--too often the hard way. Many lessons I am still attempting to put into practice. As a writer, I am looking for a way to validate those mistakes in some way, to pass on to others things I have learned, done and experienced. Yeah, I have to return to this. For now, I think I'll make another cup of coffee.
