Dr. Ruben Rodriguez was born and spent his childhood in Chihuahua City, Mexico. His family immigrated to the United States when he was a teenager. He attended high school and college in El Paso, Texas. He obtained his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and his Ph.D. from New Mexico State University. He served in the United States Army as a lieutenant during the Vietnam War Era. He worked 12 years at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, developing and implementing Electronic Warfare devices. He also worked for the Federal Government as the engineer-in-charge of Field Station Augsburg in Germany. He taught electrical engineering courses at the University of Texas in El Paso for more than 10 years. He was been married to Beatrice Therese for 58 years. They have 6 children, 28 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Most of his technical publications are classified, but after his retirement, he has written his autobiography in several volumes that include: El Vuelo del Aguilucho, The Saga of a Young Eagle, The Eagle Finds Its Mate, and this present volume.
