Born in 1973 in Athens,Greece, Chrysanthi Ekonomaki was commited to music at the early age of 8. She was so talented that she would play by ear on the piano whatever others studied for hours before she even began her official studies. She transcribed and improvised for fun without having any musical knowledge. Her parents discovered that she was playing the piano when they saw her performance at a friendly home where they were guests. That’s when they decided that she should study music and become a musician. Her studies: 4 Degrees & 1 Diploma in Music Composition. Studies of Functional Harmony & Grade 8 at Jazz piano from RSL University. She is also a singer and a piano performer with over 300 live appearances (pop, rock, jazz and folk groups). She took part to a variety of concerts also performing her own compositions. She is an author of music educational books and books that include some of her compositions. 30 years of a succesful career as a music teacher, professional transcriber & composer in her country. For many years she was working for the theater as a composer, music director and vocal coach. She likes working as a freelancer for companies, film directors and individuals who need original or transcribed music for their projects. She is the creator and the Art Director of Cambia Publications (based in Greece).
