Connie Stamos is a translator, education technologist and publisher originally from Sydney Australia. She began life dreaming of a career as a classical pianist and began to play the piano at the age of 5. At 18, she achieved her teaching qualification in piano Diploma in Music, AMusA AMEB. That same year, she matriculated to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (now the University of Sydney) studying towards a BA in Music as a piano major, one of ten pianists chosen each year. She was also the first recipient of the Dionysios Solomos Award for best national score in 3 Unit Modern Greek, an award that is still going strong. It is aimed at encouraging students to study Greek for their Higher School Certificate in NSW and it is part of the annual Greek Festival of Sydney. The presenter of the first award was former Australian Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam. Later, Connie switched her focus to language and linguistics studies. Connie is bilingual in Greek and English. She studied English and Greek language and Literature at the National & Kapodistrian University in Athens, IT at the University of Canberra and Digital Media Development at the University of Technology in Sydney. She has lived and worked in Athens, Sydney & Canberra. Connie has resided in the UK since 2016.
