David Randolph Kem is a 32-year-old native of Bowling Green, Kentucky. He is the author of "The Kentucky Cave Wars" The Century that Shaped Mammoth Cave National Park," which was released on June 5, 2014. Aside from writing, David is also a park guide and an educational technician at Mammoth Cave National Park. David Kem holds a bachelor of science in biology from Western Kentucky University and a master of science in biology, also from WKU. He is a member of the National Speleological Society and the Cave Research Foundation. Despite his scientific background, David's first published book details the history of Kentucky's Cave Country and the century of fighting that shaped Mammoth Cave National Park.
