D. Nkwetato Tamonkia is a veteran ESL teacher and TEFL trainer with 25 years of teaching experience in the industry. He has taught students from multiple language backgrounds; French, Korean, Russian, Italian and Chinese, both in formal school settings and privately. Over the years, he has prepared thousands of candidates for standardized tests like, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, etc. Apart from teaching young learners, he has taught Business English to adults in multi-national companies such as Philips, Decathlon, Brose, China Development Bank, and many more. He is the founder of the popular podcast Dee's English Lessons and DNT Academy. He currently resides in Shanghai, China and frequently speaks at conferences and seminars. The three books, Foundation English Vocabulary Workbook, IELTS Speaking Test Guide and IELTS Writing Workbook, are the first of many books to be published for the benefit of everyone learning English as a foreign language. The content in the books is an accumulation of years of classroom sessions with ESL students. There is much emphasis on step-by-step learning, focus on vocabulary and the use of learning activities to keep readers focused. TEFL teachers may find the books quite useful for lesson preparation. I would like to retire from teaching soon and focus more on education consulting and the development of teaching materials.
