John lives high atop a hill in southwestern New Mexico. There he and his wife pursue their own third age pursuits–quilting for her and writing for him. He fulfilled a childhood dream of writing, beginning with the memoir, Waiting for Westmoreland. He publishes a web only magazine, Eagle Peak Quarterly. He also has two blogs. Views from Eagle Peak, is an eclectic blog. His other blog, John Maberry’s Writing, focuses on short pieces of current or future work including excerpts from sci-fi, suspense or crime fiction works in progress. He published a collection of sci-fi short stories in July of 2017, will publish a sci-fi novel in 2018 and a sequel to Waiting for Westmoreland in 2019
