Darran Jordan has worked as an archaeologist since 2006 and attained his doctorate in historic and prehistoric archaeology from the University of Sydney in 2012. He has presented papers at a variety of history, archaeology and heritage related conferences both nationally and internationally, from Cambodia to Chicago. In addition to his academic publications, he has been an active part of the small press community in his native Australia, being one of the founders of Eclectica Press. Through EP he published such graphic novels and comics as ‘Tales of Stranggore’, ‘Dogs’, ‘Natasha X’ and ‘Helm’. He co-wrote ‘Helm’ with long-time writing collaborator Rocco Bosco. Darran has also contributed to such comic book publications as ‘Operation Funnybone’ and ‘Tango’. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation produced his audio play ‘The Burial’ for Radio National and BTR Productions have used numerous scripts of his for both audio and film productions.
