About
Epilepsy Care and Research in Chicago: Collaboration and Progress
Dr. Kumar is a seasoned healthcare professional, boasting over a decade of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices after procuring his MD and MBA dual degree from Windsor University School of Medicine and Davenport Donald W. Maine College of Business, Davenport in Michigan. He has a solid background in medical consulting, budget management, leading mergers and acquisitions, negotiations, and contract management, employing root cause and SWOT analysis techniques. His track record in goal-oriented research and development is proven, and he has co-authored numerous publications in diverse scientific domains. The inspiration behind this book is deeply personal. Dr. Kumar witnessed his cousins and sister experience seizures in their twenties, while he, fortunately, did not share this experience. His journey through medical school ignited a deep-seated passion for human sciences. Thus, penning a book on Epilepsy, a specific subset of seizure disorders, seemed like a natural progression. It allowed him to impart his knowledge and insights to the public as a part of a public health outreach initiative under Dr. Khuranna's Ioncure program. Dr. Kumar extends heartfelt gratitude to his readers, the Ioncure team, and his family for their unwavering support and encouragement, which have been instrumental in the publication of this insightful piece of non-fiction scientific literature.
