Erica Collins is an author, international professional speaker, educator, media host, plus-size model, actress, and former beauty queen who has made her mark across media, fashion, and education. She has worked with major media outlets including Business Week Online, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, HBO, and Time Warner/HBO Sports, and also contributed to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s broadcast productions. As a pioneering plus-size model and body-positive advocate, Erica served as a spokesperson for Fashion to Figure, working with the descendants of Lane Bryant’s founder, and modeled for top retailers like Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Liz Claiborne, and Just My Size. Her accomplishments in the fashion industry include earning the title of Miss Plus America and helping reshape mainstream standards of beauty. Erica also built a distinguished presence in politics and education, training at the U.S. Capitol’s House and Senate Radio/TV Press Galleries and working as a press liaison to national and international media. She interned with major Washington, D.C., news affiliates and has reported across news, entertainment, business, and sports. Today, Erica continues to mentor future leaders, create inclusive content, and serve as a University Advisor She holds a Master of Science in Education, a B.A. in Sociology with a Minor in Theater and Dance and a Concentration in Radio/Television from The George Washington University, and a certification in Multimedia Technologies from NYU.
