Gus St. Anthony Bifani has been writing humorous rhymes and drawing commercial cartoons professionally since 1962 when he opened his first commercial art studio in New York City's renowned Greenwich Village. He began doing The Byrds weekly rhyming cartoon feature in 2001. In those days, it was published in regional newspapers around SW Florida. Today, The Byrds is syndicated through hard copy weekly newspapers, regional magazines and digital platforms in the United States and Europe. The collection of strips in this little book has been pulled from the past few years and shows how the feature has evolved over time to its present state. Gus and his wife, Cathy, reside in SE Florida. When not writing and drawing, his hobbies have included flying small private airplanes, sailing his Venture 28 in Florida's rivers and coasts and playing chromatic harmonica performances at local open mic clubs and cafes.
