HIC's consultants led the design and delivery of the world's first successful national health index, statistics, personal health summary, alerts and warnings system. We have played a leading role in the start up of six highly innovative medical schools in the developed and less developed world. Our principal, Dr Roderick Neame established the Standards Australia (Australian National Standards Organisation) expert committee on health informatics and chaired it for several years, subsuming the national health informatics standards committee for New Zealand at the same time. We have been consultants to the World Bank (setting up national health information infrastructures eg in Slovenia, Romania, Palestine), WHO, British & Canadian Medical Associations, Audit Office, Departments of Health and leading Hospital groups.
