Hope Whittaker is a young, self-taught author and illustrator, who enjoys writing children's books. In her spare time, Hope enjoys doing photography, going on walks, as well as many other creative activities. Hope has always had a lifelong passion for telling stories, and has been making her own 'books' since she was very young. However when she went to school this creative aspect she had always possessed faded, and she lost her deep love and talent for creating stories. Since leaving school, she has rediscovered and further nurtured her gift for storytelling, which has evolved further into story writing. In 2025 Hope released her first book, a children's title 'The Old People Next Door'. Hope is always coming up with and searching for inspiration for new ideas for her to write about, which range from humorous antics to more serious issues (such as discrimination), and uses her storytelling as a way to dive deep into and share topics that might otherwise feel a bit awkward to discuss. Hope believes in the power of stories, and the deep and important messages they can convey. She enjoys sharing what she creates, wether it's writing, illustrations, or photography, with the world, and using this to change and bring to light different people's views on the world.
