ANDRÉ LAUNAY André Launay is one of several pseudonyms of writer and broadcaster Drew Launay. His work has been reviewed as: Shrewd artistry, skillfully crafted. Acidly witty. Told eloquently without clutter. Cleverly constructed tales that successfully combine dry British humour with Hitchcockian suspense. In the USA he was labelled as "The spine chilling master of occult horror". Drew made his debut as a writer in the 1960s with a play produced on BBC television. He went on to write six humorous thrillers, but had his first best seller success with The Girl With a Peppermint Taste published in the UK and US and serialized in the Sun in the UK. Over the years he has written more than fifty books ranging from domestic trauma to psychic mysteries. Non fiction on food, history and travel, including some of the first editions of the popular Xenophobe and Bluffer series from Oval Books. His media work includes original screenplays, stage plays, TV comedies and radio broadcasts.
