Ivan Marchuk is a travel photographer and amateur historian. Being a member of historical reconstruction ("living history") movement since 1997 was a leader of history clubs "Way of sword" (1998-2003) and "Iwakiri" (2003-2011). He is one of the founders of "Sengoku Jidai" Association. Is an author and co-author of a number of online publications regarding history of Feudal Japan. Published the "Samurai's Citadels" book about Japanese castles. Repeatedly visited Japan.
