Dr. Ira W. Cotton is an information technology consultant by profession and a philatelist and conservationist by avocation. A life member of the American Philatelic Society, he has focused his collecting in recent years on fish & game stamps and licenses. He has served over three terms as the President of the National Duck Stamp Collectors Society (please visit www.NDSCS.org to join) and is a member of the State Revenue Society and the American Revenue Association. He writes articles on fish & game subjects for the philatelic press and founded PaperQuest Press to publish F&G collector handbooks. He lives with his wife and daughters in Naples, FL where he enjoys hunting and fishing, even when he comes home empty-handed. He is a member of Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. He maintains that you don’t have to hunt or fish to enjoy hunting and fishing stamps/licenses, but you enjoy them more if you do.
