Jamilla H. Webb, BSN, RN is ​a​ Registered ​Nurse and writer based in New Orleans. She has 18 years of clinical experience in Public Health, Infectious Disease (HIV/AIDS), Pediatrics, and Labor and Delivery Nursing. She supported dozens of families as a Full Spectrum Doula for 5 years with Birthmark Doula Collective prior to transitioning into the Education Coordinator role. Jamilla also volunteered as a nurse in Zambia and Senegal with International Medical Relief and Nurses for Africa. Her writing has been featured in Geaux Girl! Magazine and ANTIGRAVITY Magazine, where she served as an Associate Editor for more than 3 years. She is the founder of HER Health Nurse, a health education organization that centers reproductive justice and the empowerment of adolescent girls and young women. Jamilla values health equity and intends to continue providing culturally inclusive evidence-based support and health education through clinical nursing care, community outreach, and her writing.
