About
Jerel Hill

JEREL HILL was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. Hill was a three-time NJCAA All-American and a NJCAA National Champion while competing for Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi. After transferring to LSU, Hill took his performance to another level during his senior season as LSU's top sprinter in 2010. Hill was a walk-on track athlete who left LSU being ranked the tenth fastest 100-meter sprinter in LSU's history. "Faith was my scholarship," Hill said. Hill began competing in the sport of track and field in the twelfth grade at Vicksburg High School in Vicksburg, Mississippi where he "fell in love" with the sport. Five years later, Hill would be ranked on the same list as other LSU greats such as Olympic silver medalist Richard Thompson, NCAA National Champion Trindon Holliday, and NCAA Champion Xavier Carter. With tremendous faith and hard work, Hill lived his dreams of competing for LSU, which at one point was just that - a dream.
