Jesse Hay is a wildlife biologist and author from Alberta, Canada. He has done wildlife research work in Madagascar, the Amazon, the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu, Borneo, and Sumatra. During a research job in Borneo, he found himself at odds with a mischievous orphan orangutan who enjoyed chaos so much that what ensued were months of daily mishaps and mayhem detailed in the true story and photobook: Kalabatu: True Adventures and Misadventures with a Problem Primate. A percentage of sales proceeds contribute directly back to orangutan conservation through the Orangutan Trust Fund at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabiliation Centre. Help support orangutan conservation!
