Writing a book about domestic violence and betrayal is not an easy task, especially when you are actually telling your own story. Many memories that I thought were buried forever came to the surface and the emotions washed over me as I relived them with each keystroke as they became alive as written words. My story is worth sharing. What I endured could happen to anyone. I’m not special. I’m just an ordinary person. My only claim to fame is that I survived and lived to tell it. J Lee Chrisam is a pen name used for the anonymity of the author and the main characters in the book to protect their true identity and privacy. She is a survivor of abuse and domestic violence. The inspiration for this book came from her life experiences. The accusation of theft and the memories it brought forward from her past served as the catalyst for writing this book. J Lee Chrisam is the mother of four, an accomplished musician, writer and public relations consultant.
