John Stump
Currently serving as Director of Music at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, Walnut Creek, California, John Steven Stump has a Master’s degree in organ performance from the Juilliard School in New York and is an Associate of the American Guild of Organists. He was the instructor of organ at California State University, East Bay. He has been organist at several parishes in New York and California. His teachers have included Kenneth Mansfield and Anthony Newman as well as master classes with Harold Vogel, Marie Claire Alain and Marilyn Mason. His improvisation studies were with Gerre Hancock with master classes with Paul Manz. He has played recitals for Conventions of the American Guild of Organists in the United States and Mexico.
