John Pirillo
Welcome to my part of the world. As a writer I've been at it since 7th grade. I wrote my first story about Sputnik and an astronaut trying to save the world. In my twenties I helped with a children's club and wrote quite a few stories and illustrated them. Sometimes I would add music and lyrics as well. We had one of the largest clubs of its kind at the time. I have a BA in Film Studies, and an MFA in Experimental Animation from Cal Arts. I wrote for a time in Hollywood for various animation programs. Later I turned to animation as a form in itself when my brother gave me an old Atari. I was star struck when I could ray trace a spherical wireframe in several days. From that point on I've had the fever. Almost thirty years later, I teach animation and graphics. I have written numerous orchestral pieces and songs, as well as quite a few stories. Now that e-books exist, I intend on eventually putting all of it online. I love what I do, and I cherish the thought that you will too.
