Jon McDermott BSc MA MRTPI FRGS is a chartered town planner, educator within the property education sector and developer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geographical Science from the University of Portsmouth and a Master of Arts in Town and Country Planning from the University of Westminster. He has been a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2008 and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Professionally, Jon is the Chief Executive Officer of TPX Group and the Principal Town Planner at Town Planning Expert. With over 20 years experience he is a host to a wealth of planning knowledge, Jon has a variety of specialist subjects within the Town Planning section and particularly specialises in Flood Risk Management. As this book demonstrates Jon is always keen to share his knowledge of the planning system with his clients and is skilled in taking challenging situations and providing clear solutions and strategies. Jon, until recently, was an attendee of a number of established networking events. Jon is a regular contributor to Your Property Network Magazine for which he has a quarterly column.
