Joseph Glarner is a music educator, performer, composer, producer, author, church musician, and founder of The Music Conservatory, serving students in Warren, Pennsylvania, and the Florida Keys. Glarner holds a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Music Studies from Liberty University and studied Jazz and Commercial Music Performance at Five Towns College on scholarship. He also trained at Musicians Institute in West Hollywood, California. His professional background includes music education, jazz and commercial music, instrumental and vocal performance, composition, arranging, recording and production, and church music. Throughout his career, Glarner has taught students of all ages in schools, private studios, churches, ensembles, and community music programs. He currently teaches music at The Basilica School of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Key West, Florida, and previously taught at St. Joseph Catholic School in Warren, Pennsylvania. As founder of The Music Conservatory, Glarner has helped students progress from their first musical experiences to advanced study, with former students going on to pursue careers in music. His teaching philosophy combines music literacy, practical performance, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation of music. Glarner has also devoted many years to church music, serving as a music director and working with choirs, instrumentalists, singers, & clergy.
