Antoinette Evans
Antoinette "Jlyric" Evans is a product of a Bay Area upbringing, born and raised in Richmond, CA. As a child, Jlyric adapted to the art of writing poetry and music lyrics, sharing her artistic stories with classmates and friends. Her freshman year in high school her English teacher named her a "Poet". Clinging on to the title and the dream to see her passion develop, JLyric continued to fill her journals with poems throughout high school, collecting piles of napkins and scratch paper containing her verses and poetry lines. During her second year of college after being convinced by her brother -in- law to create a book of poetry, JLyric self published her first book "When Your Words Are Just Not Enough - thoughts from a young black woman" in October 2008. Four years later, Jlyric is back with her new book "For The People".
