Initially, a reader of works published by the (now semi-defunct) charity Nine Hearts Publishing, for whom Wilde (writer) and Michael (artist) worked, anonymous (interviewee) cited the group as "the only help I ever received," having been encouraged to express herself artistically, which led to her taking part in various in-house projects, eventually culminating in her interview memoir about her life and experiences as a disabled person trying to navigate society.
