Kaylin R. Staten, APR, is an award-winning public relations practitioner based in Huntington, W.Va. She is an alumna of the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Marshall University and graduated with her B.A. in public relations in 2010. Kaylin owns her own PR-consulting business, Hourglass Omnimedia, LLC. Previously, she worked in nonprofit public relations at United Way of the River Cities for five years. Kaylin serves as Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)-River Cities Chapter secretary and several associated PRSA-River Cities committees. She also has more than 14 years of journalism and communications experience. During her career in PR and journalism, she has received more than 20 awards for her work, including PRSA-WV Chapter Crystal Awards, PRSA-East Central District Diamond Awards, and international Telly Awards.
