Lynn Hefele is the SHAPE America Eastern District 2017 Elementary Teacher of the Year and NYS AHPERD 2015 Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Lynn is retired from teaching in the Huntington Union Free School District in Huntington, New York. A graduate of Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Master of Science in Movement Science with a concentration in Biomechanics. Lynn is the founder and president of Literature Enhanced Physical Education (LEPE, Inc.) Since 2009, the company has published 8 teacher resources and 7 children's books. Lynn is an OPENphysed National Trainer and Youtube developer of Brain Bites, Animotions, HPE with Hef and Tech Bites with Hef videos. She lives in Oak Island, NC with her husband, Steve.
