Hello! My name is Ms. Love and I am currently a retired teacher. After teaching for over 20 years in a public school system, I decided to do more of what I love. I currently work periodically in schools covering teachers on leave, and I enjoy creating books, photography, and art. I believe that all reading material helps us grow one way or another. I often see students struggling to read. My advice is to figure out what they love and start there. Begin by picking reading materials appropriate for their level and what they enjoy. We are all different. Pick up a puzzle book, children's book, or short story that they would be interested in. Can't find one, make one up of your own. All reading material increases vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Read at least thirty minutes every night. Remember start easy and increase difficulty when the child is ready.
