About
Maz Stringer AKA Akela Mousey

Part poet, part daydreamer, and always a little curious, Maz writes from the heart with honesty, imagination, and creativity woven through every page. As the author of both a poetry collection and a coping skills book, their work is inspired by real experiences, deep emotions, and the belief that everyone deserves the chance to become the best version of themselves. A proud Beaver and Cub leader, they love helping young people grow in confidence, kindness, and creativity — encouraging them to embrace who they truly are. Their world is filled with books, learning new things, creative projects, butterflies, and the wonderful chaos of Alice in Wonderland-inspired curiosity. Living with autism, bipolar disorder, and PTSD has shaped both their voice and their passion for helping others feel seen, understood, and less alone. Through writing, they hope to create a safe space where emotions are welcomed, individuality is celebrated, and even the hardest days can still hold a little magic. When not writing, they can usually be found chasing new ideas, creating something unusual, leading Scout adventures, or wandering down fascinating rabbit holes worthy of Wonderland itself. All profits made from all sales will be going to mind UK and a children's mental health charity. I hope you enjoy the books i create.
