Michael Horvich is a retired educator, administrator, and college instructor. He is currently a writer, artist, collector, museum curator, photographer, jewelry artist, and actor. He has won two Fellowships in Gifted Education from the State of Illinois, a Performing Arts Grant from the City of Chicago, and a residency in non-fiction writing with The Ragdale Foundation in Lake Forest, Illinois. Michael has been published in a number of educational journals. He has appeared on stage as a Supernumerary at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in over twenty operas. Michael’s Museum, a collection of over 105 collections of Tiny Treasures was installed as a permanent exhibit at The Chicago Children’s Museum on Navy Pier in May 2011. He lives in Evanston, Illinois with his life partner Gregory.
