Born Tufnell Park in London. Went to Burghley Road School then on to Acland Central School. Started work in Crosfield Electronics opposite Acland School and stayed for three years making parts for electronic bank note counters and cheque sorters. Offered a place at London Zoo and stayed for ten years before buying his own zoo in Devon. Went back to London Zoo to sit on their council for two years. Made his zoo into a charitable trust and then worked for the trust as their Executive Director for twelve years. Left to start his own animal consultancy and to write about pet care. Now because of health issues is retired but in between times tries to keep his hand in with his writing which is mainly novels. Runs a creative writing course at the Devonport Library in Plymouth, Devon. Now has six books published by Lulu, see his Spotlight page.
