Mike is the Director of the Cornish Global Migration Programme based at historic Murdoch House in Redruth, Cornwall. This programme, a not for profit enterprise, is researching all aspects of migration from Cornwall. A complex database contains biographical details of individual migrants and has been set up so that a detailed analysis of all aspects of the Cornish migration process may be made. We are also building up collections of books and artefacts that help to illustrate and explain the world wide Cornish diaspora. In 2020 it was decided to publish a series of books on particular aspects of the diaspora. Two books were published in 2020 'A Cornish Colony in Mexico' and 'A Cornish Colony in France', both written by Mike Kiernan. Further books are planned, all to be printed in the same format and style. We are calling this series of books 'The Cornish Diaspora Collection'.
