Kristine K. Williams began her career in Veterinary Medicine, spending ten years being bitten, scratched, slobbered on, and exposed to more x‑rays than she cared to count. After an epiphany—and a few serious injuries—she traded fur and fangs for spreadsheets, joining Public Service and spending thirty‑two years happily wrangling data. All of which, of course, made her exceptionally qualified to write science fiction. After a twenty‑year detour creating and selling chainmaille as The Velvet Zebra, Kristine is back at the keyboard with new worlds, new stories, and a few novels rattling around her now‑retired head.
