Rev. Martha Carrasquillo embraced her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in October 1994, on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Her conversion occurred through the ministry of Pastor Carlos Ortiz, who reached countless hearts through television broadcasts. During her baptism, the Lord imparted a profound message to Rev. Carrasquillo: “To whom much is given, much is demanded.” These words have remained etched in her heart, guiding her path ever since. Early in her spiritual walk, she actively participated in various ministries within her church community: Choir: Rev. Carrasquillo lent her voice to worship, praising God through song. Phone Intercessory Ministry: She interceded for others, praying fervently over phone lines. Children’s Ministry: Her passion extended to nurturing young hearts, teaching them about God’s love. Evangelization Ministry: Rev. Carrasquillo shared the Gospel with zeal, reaching out to those seeking hope. The Holy Spirit continued to lead her, prompting her involvement in building a branch ministry for their church, known as “Fuente de Agua Viva” (Fountain of Living Water). Her dedication to theological studies deepened, fueled by the anticipation that one day she would be called to pastoral leadership. In due time, Rev. Carrasquillo received her divine appointment as the senior pastor of ALMC. Her journey exemplifies unwavering faith, obedience, and a heart attuned to the Holy Spirit’s guidance to impact lives and glorify God.
