Jake Shellenberger is the Head Swimming & Diving Coach at Liberty University. A former assistant at Penn State and Arizona, Jake is a two-time CCSA coach of the year and started the Liberty program from scratch in 2010. In six years of program history, Liberty has won one CCSA championship and qualified three individual swimmers and a relay to the NCAA Championship Meet in three separate seasons, scoring in two of those three years. Along the way, the Lady Flames have compiled a 63-26 dual meet record, crowned 12 CCSA individual and 6 relay champions, and set 10 CCSA conference records. Liberty was represented at Olympic Trials in 2012 and 2016, and has scored at USA Swimming National Meets as well (2012 Winter Nationals, 2013 US Open). Jake lives in Forest, VA with his wife Lorin and son Eli.
