I was born is south Minneapolis in 1943 and have lived in the State of Minnesota for all but the nine years that I spent in the Boston area. I graduated from DeLaSalle High School in downtown Minneapolis and attended both Mankato State College and the University of Minnesota. My career path began in 1967 at the First National Bank of Minneapolis. My first position was that of a loan collector and lender. I was promoted to the Bond Department Trading Desk in 1970 and I remained in the bond business as a trader and portfolio manager for forty years. After a trip to the Mountain family's hometown of Killeagh, Ireland in 2005, I became interested in writing and researching my family genealogy. That research gave me the idea for my first book, “The Saga of the Brothers Mountain” which was published in 2014 and received Honorable Mention Awards from the Los Angeles and Pacific Rim Book Festivals in 2015.
