About
Nancy McKeown
Nancy McKeown is a graphic artist who has worked producing projects for both print and web within a variety of commercial, non-profit, and educational positions for more than 30 years. Her zest for visually clarifying information matches that of her passion for the art of pine needle basketry. She has won a number of awards for her basketry entries in several California county fairs, and her Mariposa Lilies basket was accepted into the juried Yosemite Renaissance 40 art exhibit. Her inspiration for both basketry and graphic design often comes from the many years she spent living aboard and sailing a small boat on long ocean passages from California to New Zealand (twice!), throughout the South Pacific, and into the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. She currently lives in Mariposa, California—known as the Gateway to Yosemite National Park.
