Professor Godwin Chukwudum Nwaobi
Professor Godwin Chukwudum Nwaobi, a world-class economist specializing in Econometrics, Mathematical and Computational Economics, is celebrated for his distinction, excellence, and brilliance in Nigeria’s higher education sector. He has served as Professor of Economics at Kogi State University, Bingham University (visiting), Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike, and Professor of Econometrics at Veritus University, Abuja. Currently, he is a visiting Professor of Economics at the African Union Commission. In 2023, he was a distinguished participant at the African Union Specialized Technical Committee on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning, and Integration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, supported by GIZ. A prolific writer, he has numerous publications, including the book Emerging Industrial Innovation Strategies: Challenges and Sustainability. Prof. Nwaobi has presented well-researched papers at conferences and workshops worldwide, including South America, the UK, South Africa, Ghana, Argentina, Finland, Kenya, and Senegal. A Commonwealth Scholar, he belongs to professional bodies such as the Nigeria Economic Society, International Economic Association, Africa Econometric Society, Association of Nigeria Authors, Social Science Research Network, American Biographical Institute, and the International Advisory Council of Global Finance Forum. In December 2023, he participated in the 6th Congress of African Economists in Lusaka, Zambia, organized by the African Union.
