Hi! I am Paula Van Kuren, mom to four amazing children! I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, and shortly after gave birth to a son who struggled greatly with dyslexia. Of course, I used my educator skills to dive deep into teaching literacy skills to children in order to help my son. However, he still struggled. I searched for the unconventional, pulled from my pedagogy experience in teaching music, and crafted lessons that would be both palatable and effective for any child, especially my struggling reader! Charlotte Mason is certainly my mentor in this venture of educating my children! Mason's philosophy on the humanity of children and her methods of education have proven both effective and delightful. It is my hope to bring Charlotte Mason's timeless philosophy into practical modern usage.
